Information You Submit
A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the independent provider that operates that tool. Hart County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s policy applies to its collection and processing.
If you send an email or contact message, we retain the information needed to respond. We do not disclose that message outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Data and Cookies
Routine server, analytics, and browser technologies may collect technical details when a page loads, including:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent on them;
- the referring site, when available; and
- date and time stamps.
Cookies help measure site use and support some features. Browser controls can reject or delete cookies, though parts of the site may work differently when cookies are blocked.
How Information Is Used
Collected information supports limited operational purposes:
- delivering pages reliably and improving speed;
- sending a search request to the selected partner;
- measuring which Hart County resources visitors use;
- diagnosing errors and security issues; and
- displaying advertising that may reflect general interests.
Other Websites and Advertising
Links lead to Hart County offices, Kentucky corrections and court portals, federal locators, and independent search services. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination’s privacy terms govern its collection and use.
Advertising partners may use their own technology to track activity across websites for interest-based advertising. That processing occurs on the partner’s systems and is controlled by its policy.
When Data May Be Shared
We do not sell personal information. Data may be disclosed only as needed to:
- search partners that process a submitted query;
- analytics providers that measure site use;
- advertising networks that serve or measure ads; and
- law-enforcement agencies or other government bodies acting under a valid legal order.
Security Measures
We use reasonable, commonly accepted safeguards for information under our control. No internet service, transmission method, or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted data may use Contact Us to request deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and verification, a person may ask for a copy of personal data we hold, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, or an opt-out from certain processing. Submit a request through Contact Us. Kentucky public records held by government custodians are governed separately, including by the Kentucky Open Records Act access provisions.
Changes to This Notice
We may revise this privacy notice as services or legal requirements change. A revised version becomes effective when posted here with an updated effective date.
